Each of our beaches have their own features but they share one thing in common: beautiful, breathtaking sunsets! Explosions of color and then the slow sinking of the day's sun into the cool, calm waters . Yes, that's Sarasota!
Siesta Key Public Beach
Winner of the "worlds finest, whitest sand" award, this public beach has the most pristine white sand in the world! (According to Doctor Stephen Leather-man’s “Best Beaches in the USA” survey). Its content is pure quartz which has been pulverized to a fine white powder. You'll find it cool to the touch even under the scortching hot summer sun. Year round the beach offers lifeguards, tennis courts, volleyball, softball and food concessions. Pavilions are available for groups at a nominal fee. There is an 800 car parking lot which is often times full because this is the most popular beach in Sarasota County. To rent a pavilions you can call 941.316.1172.
Having the same powdery, white sand as Siesta Beach, and just south of this public beach, there is another beach called Crescent Beach. For about a mile and a half it stretches to a place known as Point of Rocks, popular with scuba divers.
At the south end of Siesta key you will find Turtle Beach. While the sand is a bit coarser, the shelling is great. There are no lifeguards or concession stands but you will find a quiet, alluring beach with picnic tables, pavilions and ample parking.

For nearly 12 miles, from tip to tip of the island, you'll find the beaches of Longboat Key. They offer a relaxed, secluded island experience.
Within minutes of St. Armands Circle, the beaches of Lido Key can be found. The North beach is undeveloped and here you'll find a place to relax under the Australian Pines. The South beach has the atmosphere of a park. Mid-key is the public beach complete with souvenir shop and restaurant.
The Beaches of Casey Key Beginning on Siesta Key, on Midnight Pass where Turtle Beach ends, are the beaches of Casey Key. For miles these beaches stretch across absolutely exquisite homes all the way down to Venice North Jetty at the southern most tip.
